The retreat will be held on the weekend of May 29th-31st. from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. The retreat will be held at Camp Metoche (http://www.campmetoche.org/), in the San Bernandino Mountains. The retreat is about 1.5 hours from Orange County and 2 hours from SD and LA.

Why do we have to fill out an application?
The application process helps give us a better idea in serving the specific needs of the attendees. It also helps ensure that the applicants who apply are serious and motivated to learn.
The application can be filled out on the website: www.alhujjah.org/. The deadline is May 1st.
What is the age limit to apply?
The age limit is 18-30, but we will make SOME exceptions based on individual cases.
What if I apply and decide not to come?
We ask that you apply only if you are serious about attending. Since we do have limited attendance, you may be taking up someone else’s space if you fill out an application and decide not to attend.

How much does the retreat cost and where do I pay?
We are trying to keep costs as low as possible. The retreat is $120/person and includes your stay and al meals for the weekend. Please make a check out to “Al Hujjah Retreat” and mail it in to 553 Robins Place, Brea CA 92823 by May 10th.

What kind of facilities does the retreat offer?
There are various sporting facilities available at the camp. Please visit the camp website for further details at http://www.campmetoche.org/.

What are the sleeping arrangements like?
Each cabins will accommodate around 12 people. Sisters and Brothers will be in separate cabins. Restrooms and showers will be located near the cabins. If you would like further detail on the cabins and other facilities you can visit the camp website at http://www.campmetoche.org/ . We do ask that you bring your own sleeping bag/blanket and pillows.
What if I want to apply but cannot afford the retreat fee?
We do not want to turn away anyone for lack of funds. If you are having trouble paying the fee, please contact us, and we will do our best to try and work something out. We will be more than willing to write a letter to your local masjid, or to potential sponsers.
Is this a limited attendance retreat?
Yes, there is limited space so please send in your application as soon as possible in order to ensure your place!
Will Al-Hujjah be providing transportation for attendees?
Unfortunately we are not able to provide transportation for our attendees. However, we will try to arrange carpools for people that are having trouble finding a ride.
What should I bring with me?
- blanket, sheets, pillow, or 2) sleeping bag
- towel
- extra clothes
- soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb
- sweater or jacket
- running shoes..socks
- prayer mat
- Bug spray/ sunscreen
- book of dua’ (i.e. Mifatul Jinan, Sahifa Sajjadiya, etc.)- flashlight
