Sheikh Ja’far Muhibullah was born and raised in North Carolina. He has also helped establish a community based Islamic Study Group in that area. His quest for knowledge began after graduating from high school and led him to join an Islamic seminary. He has studied for 10 years in Islamic seminaries in the United States and abroad. He is currently pursuing his graduate studies (PhD) in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Texas, Austin.

Sister Zermina Awan was born and raised in the United Kingdom. She studied at Jamia tuz Zahra in Qum, from early 2002 to 2006 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree with honors in Islamic Studies. Presently, she is studying to earn her master’s degree in Politics, Religion and Conflict Resolution at St Mary's University College, London.  In addition, she has recently started to work with the AhlulBayt Islamic Mission (AIM), under the banner of AIM Youth. In her spare time she translates Islamic texts from Farsi to English and speaks occasionally at seminars and conferences. 

Brother Kauther Khan is a self-taught scholar and activist that doesn't take those titles well when you address him as such. A humble servant leader and community organizer in Los Angeles, he has helped found one of the most successful youth-based organizations called Yaseen Educational Foundation. He is a regular lecturer to the youth about a variety of topics, religious, leadership-type and spiritual. Kauther has offered AMYNA strategic direction, especially in developing their mission and vision as an organization. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Al-Hajj Usama Al-Atar is originally from the holy city of Karbala.  He immigrated to Canada with his family on February 1991. He completed his B.S. in Chemistry at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He then moved to the United States on 2001, where he started working in the field of his specialty at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Long Beach, and then moved to the University of California, Los Angeles. He has several publications in the fields of Diabetes and Cancer research. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada, where he is trying to pave the way for a thorough understanding of kidney stones. In addition to his academic career in Science, Al-Hajj Usama is a well known figure in serving Islam. He studied the Holy Qur’an along with its recitation at a young age, in Kuwait and in Iran. He started reciting Qur’an professionally at the age of 17. Al-Hajj Usama is very involved with the youth as he understands the significant role they play in society. Upon his return to Vancouver, Canada, in 2005, he established the Active Muslim Youth of British Columbia (AMYBC) a not-for-profit organization aimed at educating the youth and raising awareness about the true message of Islam
